Episode 138. Express Tip #68: Mapping out your dream team

Are you aware of how powerful visualization is? Unfortunately, many people don’t know how beneficial it can be in their lives and business.

We are all doing plenty of visualizations every day, so why not intentionally do it towards our goals and dreams?

So today, we are going to do some visualization about growing and scaling your business.

First, I need you to know what you want your business to look like, paint a picture of your dream company. I want you to dream bigger than your fears right now. What does your dream team look like? What does your dream organizational chart look like? Don’t skip this step, as it is crucial to have a clear idea of where you want your business to go and why. Then, understand its vision and what part of it you want to scale.

Describe it in detail and write it down. This is the next step that will help you create a complete picture, and the best way to do that is to map out your dream organizational chart. Arrange those boxes with the different division heads, lines, and people under them. Imagine everything and put it on the chart.

Next, what’s your existing employee count? Now multiply that number of employees by five. So if you have two employees right now, you would go to 10. Then, I want you to take your existing employee count and multiply it by 10. So if you have three employees right now, that’s 30 in total.

Now, let’s bridge your dream organization with all the potential new employees that you mapped out. How many times do you need to multiply your existing employee base to get to your dream company, your dream operations, and your organizational chart? This will help you form some numbers and some goals as you get ready to launch into next year.

Take action. What is one thing you could do now that would help you get closer to that business? If you are hesitating and don’t know how to get there, share your exercise with me, come with any and every question, and together, we’ll figure out your next steps for scaling your business to the one you just visualize. Carve out some time to schedule a breakthrough session, and let’s do this together!

I love this concept, and I do it all the time. It’s an excellent way for you to set goals and to write numbers down. It gives you a benchmark of where you are now, a goal of where you want to go, and how to do it. Reach out if you have any questions!

And remember, dream bigger than your fears
