Anybody in business know how important decision-making is. As a business owner or leader, you make decisions every day – ones that impact your company, your employees, and your customers.

A good decision or a bad decision is better than no decision. You make decisions every day but sometimes we want to avoid them and stall the process. A great rule of thumb for allowing you to make decisions easier is called the 10-10-10 Rule.

The 10-10-10 Rule requires you to ask three questions:

Will this matter in 10 minutes?

Will this matter in 10 months?

Will this matter in 10 years?

If you can ask yourself those three questions about how long, the impact, and the actual substantiality of the decision that you are making, that’s all you need to worry about. We won’t know if it’s the right decision all the time and that’s just part of being an entrepreneur. A good decision or bad decision is better than no decision.

You won’t know if it was right until later, but keep in mind the 10-10-10 Rule if you are struggling to decide.

Keep evolving, entrepreneur! I see you, I get you, and I’m so proud of you.
